AUTO editorial staffhebdo with many football lovers, we had fun creating two teams using only the 22 drivers who have competed in at least one Grand Prix this season. A look at a match sheet full of Grande Jugadores…

Team Horner

Coach – Christian Horner: Like the “Special One” José Mourinho, the Englishman will be ruthless and will not hesitate to pump up his men to the limit to annihilate the opposing team.

Goalkeeper – Sergio Pérez: Who else but the Mexican to lead the back lines than the Minister of Defense? A legend.

Back left - Yuki tsunoda : Friendly in the paddocks but virulent in his car, without ever failing to place a few insults and muscular maneuvers towards his adversaries: the Japanese Éric di Meco.

Central defender - Kevin Magnussen : on the track as well as on the field, the Dane will not give up when starting the duel with his rivals. Good luck to them trying to get rid of his panty marking!

Central defender - Alexander albon : From his height of one meter eighty-six, the Thai is a control tower behind. Difficult to get around and maneuver when it's on a good day.

Back right - Nicholas latifi : We often tend to say that the right-back position is the least essential on a team. So we'll let you guess why the Canadian inherited the position...

Recovery medium – Guanyu-Zhou : A diligent student and shadow worker, the Chinese will apply Coach Horner's instructions to the letter. Without making any noise, he will prove very important to his teammates.

Recovery medium – Sebastian Vettel : Rotating plate. First defender of his team. Don't shy away from the task. Medium box to box, which links everything together.

Game leader - Pierre Gasly : The Frenchman obviously occupies the position corresponding to his racing number, he the fan of Zidane. Creative and talented pilot, capable of individual exploits.

Left winger : Daniel Ricciardo : The Australian has lost his splendor, but his flashes are still capable of breaking a few kidneys.

Right winger - Charles Leclerc : Winger but far from being a wingman. Spectacular player capable of feats and dribbling moves that bring the crowd to their feet. Especially in Italy.

Power forward – Max Verstappen : Efficiency in its purest form. When it comes time to attack, the Dutchman will be a great asset for his team and will have no trouble finishing the job.

Team Wolff

Coach - Toto wolff : Leader of men who can no longer be described as he was so successful, the Austrian knows the recipe for victory to perfection. The Zinedine Zidane (coach) of the F1.

Goalie - Nico Hulkenberg : Do you remember, at school, when no one wanted to go to the cages? The “Supersub” of F1 would gladly accept this position… as long as he’s on the ground.

Back left - Nyck de Vries : Small but incredibly strong, the Dutchman adapts to any system with his role as a piston. No matter what team he plays on, de Vries adapts in no time.

Central defender - Esteban Ocon : A team player, Esteban never hesitates to play as a team, and to defend his own. Advantaged by his large size, which makes him a formidable leading player!

Central defender - Lance stroll : When it comes to defending his position, the Canadian does not hesitate to stick together. There is no doubt that he will not do the slightest gift to his opponents. An old-fashioned defender, tough on man.

Right side – Mick Schumacher : Like when we were younger, we don't necessarily send the best element to the right lane to defend...

Recovery medium – Carlos Sainz : Although he sometimes tends to complain, the Madrilenian is a good soldier when it comes to playing for the team.

Recovery medium – Valtteri Bottas : As a true team player, the Finn is the altruist of the eleven. The teammate needs a vital pass to score? No problem for the neo-moustachio, who will use it without thinking about his statistics.

Game leader - Lewis Hamilton : The metronome. LH44 dictates its rhythm both on and off the track, including on the field. Playmaker and leader of men.

Left winger – George Russell: The one who appears shirtless more often than dressed is the team's top model. A favorite of the fans and his coach, the Briton never fails to impress with his technique and consistency.

Right winger - Lando Norris : Offensive, reliable and always well placed, the pocket talent is the dream winger for any team.

Power forward – Fernando Alonso : Like a surface fox, the Asturian Bull will be on the lookout to seize the slightest opportunity in the opposing camp. A nightmare for defenders.
