For his first season with the Team Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton has surrounded himself with a team that he trusts completely. Among these members is his former physiotherapist, Angela Cullen, who had accompanied him to Mercedes between 2016 and 2023. The New Zealander is a pillar for the seven-time world champion. “It is always important to have strong people around you, said the Briton on the sidelines of the Bahrain tests. I have had a very good base for years. So I kept all the team I had last year and I brought Angela back on top of that."
In an Instagram post honoring her on the occasion of her departure in 2023, Sir Lewis had mentioned that the former field hockey player had helped him become “a better version of [himself].” The agreement is no longer to be proven between those who have “experienced a lot together.” Who better then to accompany him in his new adventure? She took a few years to spend time with her family and discover the world, explained Lewis Hamilton on the sidelines of pre-season testing. I asked her to come and start this new chapter with me. She said yes. It was really exciting, and we're so excited. This last month has been really great."
Cullen back to help Hamilton adapt
After 18 seasons competing with a Mercedes engine, the Stevenage native must tame the Prancing Horse quickly since he was unable to drive in a car of the brand only from January 21st. Almost a month later, the #44 discovered the car he will drive during the 2025 season on the Sakhir track. Rather positive at the end of the exercise, the forty-year-old shows his enthusiasm at the start of this collaboration in red. “Red is the color of passion and love, he recalled. There is a lot of passion in this team, as well as among the Tifosi, and that shows with everyone at Ferrari."
Thanks to the warm welcome from his new family and the return of his trusted person, Lewis Hamilton can finally feel at home. “They did everything to make me feel welcome, he rejoiced. Honestly, this is the best month I've had. It was tiring, we were all pushed, but it's time to focus." Once the euphoria of the debut and the reunion with his physical trainer has passed, the record-breaking driver continues his preparation with his entire team. “Everyone has their heads down, focused on doing their best, he said in Bahrain. I, too, try to make sure that we give our best every day.”

His former physiotherapist will also be useful to prevent him from letting himself go with Italian cuisine, especially pasta, pizza and cold cuts!

This is an indication that he does not intend to just be a wallflower and rake in the dollars at Ferrari. He is sharpening his weapons for a tough battle, namely that of the title.
