Cyril Abiteboul joins CDK Technologies, an offshore racing shipyard

Cyril Abiteboul bounces back in the offshore race! The former team principal of Renault F1 Team has been appointed general manager of CDK Technologies, one of the largest offshore racing shipyards based in Brittany, and more precisely in Port-La-Forêt (Finistère). The site is a benchmark in the field. Indeed, the winning sailboats of the last four editions of the Vendée Globe have left its workshops. Cyril Abiteboul takes over from Philippe Facque, who is retiring. In addition, the CDK Technologies site becomes the property of a group of private investors, Inspiring Sport Capital.

After his departure from Renault F1 Team, became Alpine in 2021, Cyril Abiteboul became strategic advisor at Mecachrome. Now he is back in a position of responsibility in a new sport, but not that far from his first love...

« Among the many similarities between car racing and sailing racing, I am particularly happy to reconnect with the values of passion, commitment, and excellence that make the reputation of CDK Technologies, its men and its women , whom I am honored to join, emphasized Abiteboul. Beyond the nobility of offshore racing which is and will remain at the heart of the CDK Technologies project, its facilities and its know-how in composite materials and manufacturing processes make it a unique development platform, whether in the world of nautical racing which is growing and maturing, or in that of maritime transport which will be subject to the same carbon neutrality challenges as automobile mobility »
