Cyril Abiteboul returns to Renault Sport F1

Yesterday, the entire organization of the Caterham team was turned upside down, continued to the takeover of the team founded by Tony Fernandes by a consortium of investors coming from Switzerland and the Middle East and advised by the Romanian Colin Kolles. The Dutchman and former pilot F1 Christijan Albers was suddenly named Team Principal, replacing the Frenchman Cyril Abiteboul, who will now bounce back on the side of his former employer Renault F1 Sports.

Because it is Viruses-Châtillon that the organization chart has been modified today. Jean-Michel Jalinier will leave his post as president for personal reasons. He will be replaced by Jérôme Stoll, who already held the role of Sales Director of the group, as well as the position of Deputy Director for Performance. Cyril Abiteboul, for his part, will be appointed Managing Director from this Thursday. It's a real homecoming for the Frenchman who began his career at Renault, rising very quickly through the ranks. In 2007, he was appointed Development Director of Renault F1 Team before becoming its executive director in 2010 and subsequently its general director.
