Daniel Ricciardo: “Like Monaco, without the walls”

Sixth in the last Grand Prix in Germany last Sunday and beaten in the final moments of the race by the Ferrari F14 T from the Spaniard Fernando Alonso, Daniel Ricciardo is now focusing on the Hungarian race, which he particularly appreciates.

“It’s so narrow and winding that it’s not necessarily the best track for a Grand Prix. It's like Monaco, but without the barriers! It’s a superb track, especially in qualifying, where you drive on low fuel and new tires. There is no downtime, and you have to be focused. In the race, however, it is difficult to overtake because the circuit is narrow, and the sequence of turns does not really provide any opportunity. The arrival of DRS has improved things, and the first corner and the section that follows with the descent is always exciting. »

The Australian will try to get a good result in Budapest, having never done better than 13th place on this track. THE Red Bull are also not on conquered ground in Hungary, with only one victory in 2010, won by Ricciardo's predecessor in the seat of the car autrichienne, Mark Webber désormais pilote Porsche in the World ChampionshipEndurance WEC.
