Daniel Ricciardo seems to envy his opponent Nico Hulkenberg qui s’est imposé en juin 2015 avec Porsche at the 83th edition of 24 Hours of Le Mans. The pilot Red Bull expressed his desire to compete in the Le Mans event which attracts more and more drivers, including those from the F1.
“Le Mans could be nice”, admitted the Australian in AutoAction. “There were maybe some opportunities to take last year, but it was a bit too big a piece with everything going on and (Red Bull Racing) preferred that I concentrate on F1. It makes sense. Hulkenberg did it, he won and I would like to do it too. So it could happen, maybe in ten years, I don't have to do it today. »
Daniel Ricciardo also admitted he second-guessed himself when Red Bull Racing threatened to quit F1 when it was looking for an engine supplier for the 2016 season. “Thoughts crossed my mind but I don’t think it could have happened.”, recognized the 2009 champion of the F3 British. “I don't know what I would have done differently but I would have stayed in the racing world. Maybe from the Nascar, but I am aware that adaptation is not easy. I would have needed training if I had chosen this discipline. »
