Daniil Kvyat joins Scuderia Ferrari as development driver

Ousted from the program Red Bull and Toro Rosso at the end of last year, Daniil Kvyat will bounce back this year within the Team Ferrari after having been among the applicants for a place at Williams.

The 23-year-old driver, who was promoted to Red Bull Racing between 2015 and early 2016, after a first stint with Toro Rosso in 2014, will serve as development pilot for the Italian team. The Russian's exact schedule has not been confirmed.

Kvyat was able to evolve with the Power Unit V6 turbo / transalpine hybrid in 2016 during his return to Toro Rosso, before the Faenza team returned to the clan Renault last year. Kvyat will also find at Ferrari a former resident of Red Bull in the person of Sebastian Vettel.
