New concepts under study at Ferrari

Ferrari don't plan to give up. Even if the start of the season in terms of accounting is largely to the Scuderia's disadvantage against its great rival Mercedes, the Maranello team still aims to place its SF90, which appeared so vibrant this winter, at the level of the W10 which is copiously dominating the start of the 2019 campaign.

In the wake of the Spanish Grand Prix which finished off the podium, Mattia Binotto, head of Sports Management, even admitted that the loss of time observed in each corner could be linked to “a concern for balance, support, perhaps even linked to the initial concept of the car »

Words which were visibly followed by actions in Maranello, since the Italian boss indicated on the sidelines of the Monaco Grand Prix that Ferrari had accelerated the understanding of its car.

“Last week's testing in Barcelona and the analyzes carried out in Maranello confirmed how this year's tires, very different from those of 2018, require different mechanical and aerodynamic settings to function properly, underlines Binotto, cited by the website of the F1.

We are already working in Maranello on evaluating new concepts, as well as introducing new updates here. »

Enough to give hope to Sebastian Vettel et Charles Leclerc, still unable to win since the start of the season in Australia.
