Discover the starting grid for the 2019 Australian Grand Prix

For the sixth consecutive time, Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) will start from pole position in Melbourne. It is even a 100% silver first line with Valtteri Bottas in second place.

The Ferrari will have their work cut out for them Sebastian Vettel in third place and Charles Leclerc fifth. However, it is useful to remember that the German won the 2018 GP from… third place on the grid

Max Verstappen (Red Bull) should play spoilsport thanks to his fourth time. Romain Grosjean et Kevin Magnussen (Haas) can have high hopes by starting sixth and seventh respectively. All that remains is to hope for better work from the mechanics: during the 2018 editions, the two Haas had retired due to a poorly tightened wheel in the pits.

The rookie Lando Norris (McLaren) surprised observers by setting the eighth fastest time for his first qualifying in F1. The 19-year-old is ahead of the 39-year-old veteran Kimi Räikkönen, still in the game with his Alfa Romeo. The top 10 is completed by Sergio Pérez (Racing Point), just ahead of the Renault.

The second Frenchman hired, Pierre Gasly (Red Bull) will try to climb the rankings after a 17th time to the tests. The gate is closed by both Williams by George Russell and Robert Kubica.
