“It’s not the race we would have hoped for. Sao Paulo, admits the Frenchman on his Youtube page. I'm sorry for Esteban and the first round incident. I think I had a puncture, I got hit hard from behind at turn 1 and so I think the rear tire was flat. When I entered the bend, I lost the car. »

The former Lotus driver was found responsible for the collision and penalized 10″ during his pit stop. A sanction that Grosjean does not understand. “It’s a racing incident.

I'm sorry this wipes out both of our races but my opinion is that the penalty is too much hard. I don't really understand it. It was a first round. We will move on and try to take the positives from the weekend. »

Despite this disappointing Grand Prix, Romain Grosjean admitted to being satisfied with the behavior of his car at the end of the race. “Despite the significant damage to the flat bottom, I managed to set good times. We will try to analyze and bring this to Abu Dhabi. Overall it was a good weekend with sensations that I liked. »
