Unusual parts at Mercedes

With 156 laps on the clock Lewis Hamilton yesterday at the end of the first day of testing, Mercedes completed more than twice the distance of a Spanish Grand Prix on the Montmelo track in Catalonia. Enough to satisfy the team's management, who wish to take the next step during these tests with the introduction of new features on the W07 Hybrid.

« We're going to have some parts that are a little unusual, including a very innovative front wing, confessed Toto wolff, boss of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport. Our plan for the first day was to do a lot of laps, accumulate a lot of mileage, and collect data before moving on to the next step: performance.

The timing of new coin introductions depends on data analysis, but there are definitely things to look at. When I first saw them, I was really surprised. »

Nico Rosberg is at the wheel of the car star this Tuesday, and seems to have new aerodynamic parts on the sides of the W07 Hybrid.
