Haas found his rhythm in China compared to Australia with a fine 12th place for Ollie Bearman in the Sprint Qualifying held this Friday in China. Unfortunately for Esteban Ocon, the Frenchman was unable to imitate his young teammate. The Norman only clocked the 18th time in SQ1, penalized by a floor problem.

« It's already super positive, as a team, that we've managed to take a step forward compared to the last race, explained Ocon to Canal + after the session. We're much more in the game. Not on my side, but we had some floor damage in FP1. The mechanics repaired it quite quickly, so we'll have to see if we've managed to recover all the [aerodynamic] load. But we're much more in the game, which is a good thing. We'll have to see what we can do tomorrow. (…) As usual, we'll give it our all and try to take the opportunities, and try to understand where the car is for the race and see if we have a lot of degradation or not, to try to adjust it afterwards. »

The sprint will start at 4:00 a.m. (French time) this Saturday morning. Qualifying for the Grand Prix will take place at 8:00 a.m.
