Two recordings that change everything

When viewing the on-board camera images, the commissioners clearly saw the car of Jarno Trulli leave the track and that of Lewis Hamilton move to third place. A few moments later, the Italian passed the Briton while the Safety Car was on track.

During the hearing of Lewis Hamilton and the Team Manager of McLaren-Mercedes David Ryan, it was claimed that no instructions were given by radio. The Race Director even specifically asked Lewis Hamilton if he had deliberately let Trulli pass. The World Champion responding that this was not the case.

With this new evidence, the stewards made the decision to overturn Jarno Trulli?s penalty and disqualify Lewis Hamilton from the Australian Grand Prix.
