Two frustrating days for Romain Grosjean

“We completed a few more laps today but there is still a lot of work to do. It was a frustrating two days because I wanted to do as many laps as possible, but at least we learned a few things about the car. I will look ahead and come back next week and see what progress has been made. »  explains the Frenchman who only completed 26 laps in two days.

Lotus Track Operations Director Alan Permane is on the same page. “Obviously, we are far from having done everything we wanted. The car itself appears solid at the pace at which it was driven and we learn so much while driving at the level we are at. We will do everything we can to put ourselves in a position to obtain valuable data from our trials here in Bahrain. »

Pastor Maldonado will take over Romain Grosjean for the last two days of this first week of testing on the Sakhir track. Remember that the news around Lotus was busy again today with the announcement of renewal of the partnership with Renault et the arrival of Charles Pic as 3rd driver.
