Di Resta aims higher after Singapore

Force India is undoubtedly one of the surprises of this end of the season. The Indian team has a string of top ten finishes and managed to put its two cars in the points at the last Singapore Grand Prix. Before heading to Suzuka, and later to New Delhi, on the grounds of Force India, Paul di Resta hopes to continue this series of performances to get closer to Lotus-Renault, who now only have a 22-point lead in the Championship.

The champion of DTM knows that this objective will not be easy to achieve but the latest results of the British team offer an interesting opportunity. “It will be a difficult task to accomplish but it remains possible if we look at the results of last weekend”, comments the Scotsman. “The results from Monza are insufficient but it remains achievable if we take those obtained in Singapore. We registered both cars in the points and we are ahead of Sauber. »

Paul di Resta is banking on the latest developments installed on its car to make the difference in the Championship. “We can hope to stay on our pace and Lotus-Renault could still be in difficulty”, adds the Scotsman. “We didn't know what this new package would do but our race pace has clearly improved. High downforce circuits should suit us better for the rest of the season. The work on conserving the rear tires is another asset to put on our side. We are therefore optimistic for the end of the year and we can try to attack more. »
