“He embodied better than anyone the passion for F1. He was the last of those craftsmen who made F1 with Colin Chapman, Ken Tyrrell, Ron Dennis and a few others. It’s a piece of F1 history that leaves with him. His family was obviously his wife Ginny who was great, his three children, but it was also his stable. She was the one who kept him going after his accident. When I think of Frank, the word “passion” immediately comes to mind. He did everything for his stable, even mortgaged his house! Frank, it was his eyes that sparkled when you spoke to him about his drivers, his victories, simply about racing.
