Donington can begin its facelift

A few days after the Grand Prix of Formula 1 of Great Britain, which took place, a priori, for the last time at Silverstone, the Donington circuit is seeing its situation evolve. Its director, Simon Gillett, signed an agreement which allows Donington to be renovated to bring it up to Formula 1 standards. Until then, the municipal council was obstructive in this matter, being able to refuse to issue the building permit if certain requirements were not met.

This Friday, Simon Gillett signed an agreement, although legally binding, but which allows work to begin with immediate effect. These should first focus on renovating the stands and paddocks. “ It?s great to have overcome a new obstacle, said Simon Gillett, and see that our hard work is starting to pay off. We still have a lot of work to do but we remain positive. » If everything now goes as planned, the British Grand Prix will take place in 2011 at Donington Park.
