Ecclestone still believes in German GP

If Bernie Ecclestone expressed his fears of seeing the German Grand Prix canceled at the start of the year, the financier of the F1 subsequently returned to his first statements by qualifying his remarks. But the two circuits (Hockenheim and the Nürburgring) have still not signed a contract for the event supposed to be contested on September 19.

According to Auto Motor und Sport, Bernie Ecclestone confirmed at the F1 Strategy Group meeting held last week in Paris that negotiations with the organizers of the two circuits were still ongoing.

On the other hand, the F1 financier would also have clarified that there would be no no replacement Grand Prix in the event of failure of negotiations. The 2015 season would then only have 19 races. The two circuits have been operating alternately since 2009. Last year, the single-seaters ran on the Hockenheim track.
