It hasn't started yet, but this 2025 season promises to be one of the tightest ever. It must be said that the 2024 season set the pace with 7 drivers with at least two victories. Unprecedented in the history of the Formula 1.

So the paddock is looking ahead to this new campaign more open than ever. As the first Grand Prix of the year in Australia (March 15-16) approaches, the trend is towards extending the level seen at the end of last season when the field was very tight, even if many specialists agree that McLaren has a slight advantage over a grouped shot composed of Red Bull, Ferrari et Mercedes.

On the drivers' side, it is difficult to identify a clear favourite, even if for some Max Verstappen could establish its dominance once again. I'm happy in many ways that the championship is open as it is, and that's a good thing., assures Bernie Ecclestone for his part from Reuters.

I still think Max will win. There is no reason why he shouldn't win. If he has the equipment, obviously there will be no discussion about him. That would be a certainty. If the car is up to par, he will do the job.. » At least Bernie Ecclestone is very clear about his prediction for this 2025 season.

Let's hope he's wrong, Mr E! That said, Bernie has never been very good at forecasting... unless he's selling his personal F1 collection for €600 million.

Don't dream Bernie, you're not in the game anymore. You were wrong to sell F1 to the Americans, who will never understand anything about it, it's not in their genes :):):)
