Failed negotiations at Spa

Activities on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit could once again be called into question after the failure of negotiations between the lawyers of the Asbl Sourdine, which represents residents of the circuit and the representatives of the Spa-Francorchamps route. In September, the Council of State initially issued a negative opinion concerning the operating permit for the circuit before the Minister of Regional Planning Philippe Henry authorized the continuation of activities.

Since then, negotiations to try to find a compromise regarding the operation of the circuit have failed. Asbl Sourdine therefore urged Mr. Philippe Henry to take measures to limit noise around the route. Otherwise, residents are ready to take new action.
