FP2: Rosberg maintains the advantage at Hockenheim

Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) retained first place at the end of the second practice session for the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim. The German set a time of 1'15''614 this afternoon, almost a tenth of his performance achieved in the morning. The local driver once again beat his teammate Lewis Hamilton who finished almost four tenths behind.

Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) came close to the performance of the W07 Hybrid, but the four-time world champion is still more than half a second behind the first Silver Arrow. The German is ahead of the Red Bull de Max Verstappen et Daniel Ricciardo separated by three hundredths, while the top ten is completed by the Force India of Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Pérez and the McLaren by Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso.

The Toro Rosso de Carlos Sainz Jr and Daniil Kvyat are in the lead in the second part of the peloton, 1''7 behind the reference time.
