EL3: Hamilton remains fastest at Monza
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) set the best time in free practice for the Italian Grand Prix in the final session with a lap of Monza completed in 1'22''008, improving by eight tenths his previous performance achieved yesterday afternoon. His teammate Nico Rosberg finished four tenths behind. The Mercedes remained the fastest in every practice session.
The Ferrari were still the closest with Sebastian Vettel nine tenths and Kimi Räikkönen more than a second behind. THE Williams de Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa preceded the Red Bull de Daniel Ricciardo et Max Verstappen, while Sergio Pérez (Force India) and Esteban Gutiérrez (Haas) completed the top ten.
Romain Grosjean (Haas) finished in 14th place after a trip into the gravel trap which caused him to miss most of the session. Esteban Ocon (Manor) completed the ranking half a tenth behind Pascal Wehrlein.
