EL3 – Max Verstappen regains control in Austria

Last free practice session of the weekend, FP3 is used to prepare for qualifying. In this little game, it's Max Verstappen who set the best time in 1.04.591. The championship leader thus overtook Valtteri Bottas et Lewis Hamilton, freshly taken home Mercedes for two seasons. 

Behind the two top teams, we find Pierre Gasly. The French driver hoists his Alpha Tauri to 6 tenths of the best time of the sister team. In fifth position, Antonio Giovinazzi put in a very good performance on theAlfa Romeo. 
The rest of the top 10 is completed by Sainz (Ferrari), Perez (Red Bull), Alonso (Alpine), Leclerc (Ferrari), and Hag (Aston Martin), who celebrates his 34th birthday today. 

A session marked by several pirouettes. That of Nikita mazepin at turn 4 but especially that of Yuki tsunoda at the exit of turn 9. The Japanese driver came very close to hitting the wall. Fortunately for him, more fear than harm. A mishap that should not be known at 15:00 p.m. (French time) during the qualifying session, which will be followed in live text on AUTOhebdo.fr.
