EL3: Mercedes a tone above

The Mercedes set the best times during the final practice session for the Russian GP. Lewis Hamilton was the fastest.

If Nico Rosberg seemed to finish in the lead in the last practice session for the Russian Grand Prix, it was his teammate Lewis Hamilton who set the benchmark with a time of 1'36''403 after several flying laps on super soft tires on a slightly abrasive track. The three-time world champion beat the German by 68 thousandths.

The Ferrari seem to have difficulty keeping up with the Silver Arrows since Sebastian Vettel six tenths behind and Kimi Räikkönen more than a second behind. THE Williams by Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas follow the SF16-H preceding the Toro Rosso de Max Verstappen and McLaren by Jenson Button. The STR11 of Carlos Sainz Jr and the Force India of Sergio Pérez complete the top ten.

SI Romain Grosjean (Haas) seemed more efficient than the day before on soft tires, the Frenchman finally ranked 17th between the Renault de Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer. The Saubers of Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr finished behind the Manor of Rio Haryanto and Pascal Wehrlein.
