Red Bull may have lost the Constructors' title this season to McLaren, but the Austrian team has retained another trophy: that of the best team in pit stops! The team led by Christian Horner continues its domination in the exercise with a seventh consecutive title: since 2018, the six-time world champion team has always won the honorary championship of pit stops, a prize sponsored by DHL. In 2024, Red Bull has accumulated 552 points, ahead of McLaren (433 points) and Ferrari (364 points).

Each year, the ten teams compete for this honorary prize with a points system similar to that used for the Drivers' and Constructors' championships. The team that makes the best pit stop during a Grand Prix gets 25 points, then 18 points for the second best pit stop, etc. Each team is limited to one pit stop per driver: the best stop is taken into account to establish the standings at the end of the Grands Prix.

Since 2018, Red Bull has established itself as the benchmark in the field of pit stops. This year again, the Austrian team dominated the debates by signing the best pit stops in ten of the twenty-four Grands Prix of the season, and even made seven of the ten best pit stops of the year, including the fastest of the 2024 season in China, tied with McLaren in Mexico (with a stop in 1″90).

Since 2018, cans have always won the honorary title of "supported by DHL" pit stops. Does this interest anyone other than Red Bull who may receive a nice check from DHL? A distinction for Netflixers...
