For his first appearance at the Japanese Grand Prix since the beginning of his collaboration with Toyota last October, Haas wanted to make a point, even if we should not necessarily see a link between the two. Thus, the VF-25s ofEsteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman will have a special appearance this weekend when they take to the track at Suzuka in a few days.
The American team has unveiled a special livery paying homage to sakuras, the ornamental cherry trees of Japan known, among other things, for their distinctive flowers.
The VF-25's usually white elements were decorated with these cherry blossoms, while the "Haas" inscription on the sidepods was repainted in pink. Other details on the body also refer to the Land of the Rising Sun, such as Japanese inscriptions on the front wing and the engine cover, as well as the typography of the numbers, recalling local characters.
