Toto, as the season gets ready to begin, does the idea that she might be the one to end your period of domination cross your mind?

No, because if you start having this type of reasoning, it's the beginning of the end. You shouldn't think about it but, at the same time, you have to know how to remain circumspect. Every year when winter testing starts we see all the deficits we've had in the past, all the problems we have with the new car that we're trying to resolve. At no point do we say to ourselves that it’s going to be easy.

We are entering season 5 of Turbo/Hybrid technology. Do you think that the convergence of engine performances is finally taking place?

Yes ! Between Renault, Ferrari et Mercedes, the convergence will mean that one will be better in qualifying and the other in the race; one will have better gas mileage, the other more performance. And look at Honda doing amazing things with it Toro Rosso. They are lining up the kilometers, the speed is there… They will also catch up.

We are learning that the less we mess with the rules, the more competitive the races. Every time the regulations are changed, it is the teams with the most resources that emerge even more victorious.

We should campaign for regular upheavals because we would be the first to benefit from them. However, we are competitors. We want melee!
