Eric Boullier thinks of Robert Kubica for 2014

Who will be the Lotus drivers? F1 Team in 2014? If the question may seem premature, it is justified by the fact that Kimi Räikkönen's contract ends at the end of this season. A deadline on which the 2007 world champion has so far remained silent, leaving no clue as to his intentions. Suddenly names are being heard, including that of Robert Kubica.

It is also Eric Boullier, team principal of the team based in enstone, who mentioned the Polish hypothesis. If the current Citroën driver in WRC2, seriously injured in 2011, is still too limited today to drive in a car, the Frenchman does not hide his wish to see him again one day at the highest level. “If Robert is completely ready to return to Formula 1, then he will undoubtedly be one of the candidates”, indicated the Laval resident, then asked about his future drivers for 2014.

Eric Boullier also specified that the current third driver of the team, the reigning GP2 champion Davide Valsecchi, would be best placed if it was necessary to look for a new driver for the next season. “We have some plans for him this season and we will see how it goes with his work, on and off the track”, specifies the director of Lotus F1 Team.
