Mercedes and Pirelli tests: the FIA ​​international tribunal will decide

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) will appeal to its international tribunal to deal with the matter of private tests carried out by Mercedes and Pirelli, announcement the official website of Formula 1. This follows the claim brought jointly by Red Bull and Ferrari. As a reminder, Mercedes is suspected of having violated sporting regulations by using its 2013 car during private tests with Pirelli between the Spanish and Monaco Grand Prix. If the very nature of these tests is legal, Scuderia Ferrari having practiced one between Bahrain and Barcelona with a 2011 car and has just been exonerated by the FIA, it is indeed the use of a car current problem.

The FIA ​​international tribunal is a new structure dating from 2010, it is made up of 12 men whose mission is to rule on cases which cannot be handled by the race stewards. No date for the hearing has yet been communicated.
