“I spend a lot of time in the simulator while taking care of my preparation. I'm on a long term project with them and I do everything to contribute to the success of the team. » the former resident of the IndyCar Series who sees his new role as more than just a passage.

Esteban Gutiérrez had evolved as a starter in F1 in 2016 with Haas, a season after serving as reserve driver Ferrari, where his main activity was working in a simulator. A task that the native of Monterrey knows perfectly well, even if his objective undoubtedly remains elsewhere.

In their sights, undoubtedly the idea of ​​once again securing a starting place. “My goal is to return to F1, and I am putting a lot of effort into achieving that. » concluded Gutiérrez.
