Esteban Ocon accumulates kilometers

After its title in F3, French Esteban Ocon placed its end of 2014 under the sign of F1. Two tests, one with Lotus first, then another with Ferrari, before joining the big leagues and the current single-seaters during the first free practice session in Abu Dhabi last Friday. This Wednesday, the native of Evreux was able to drive one last time in the E22 equipped with the turbo/hybrid V6 Renault before giving way to GP3 Series champion Briton Alex Lynn.

“The session went well today, indicates the 18-year-old pilot. I had more time to discover the car's limits, as I was already familiar with the E22 after driving it on the Grand Prix weekend. We completed most of the planned program, but unfortunately I was not able to test the 2015 tires at the end of my session (following a leak detected on the Lotus, Editor's note). We put in some good mileage this morning and I feel like my understanding of the car is improving all the time. I received very good feedback from the team, which is very positive for me. »

The Frenchman will return to the track tomorrow on the Yas Marina Circuit, this time at the wheel of a GP2, on behalf of the French team DAMS.
