30 small thousandths. That's what he missed. Esteban Ocon to place its Haas in Q3 during qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix this Saturday morning. A performance light years ahead of what the car American had shown in Australia a week ago (19th place for the Frenchman, 20th for Bearman) and much better than the 18th place of the Tricolore during the Sprint qualifications the day before.
just 0.03s off Q3 today ~ big credit to the team for working so hard and bouncing back from where we were just a week ago. we're in the fight for points tomorrow, let's get it 👊🏼

« We made a great step forward this morning (Sprint race. Ed.) et this qualifying session, Ocon rejoiced on Canal +. We've changed a lot of things on the car. The team was really listening and we've really improved in terms of performance. The car was much better, but there's still performance to be found. Not everything is perfect; there's a lot of potential in this car. We're going to focus on this weekend, trying to optimize what we have. We're on the verge of scoring points, a lot can happen, and we're going to do everything we can to try to score some. »
« We were better than some cars in terms of front tire degradation (during the Sprint. Editor's note), assures Ocon. We've set the car up with that in mind. It might help. It's going to be difficult, though. The front tires are very fragile on this track. It might also be colder tomorrow, so it'll be worse. We're not far from the top 10, and that's nice. »
To find out if Esteban Ocon will be able to score his first points of the 2025 season, Formula 1, meet this Sunday from 8:00 a.m. (French time) for the Chinese Grand Prix.
