F1 2010: Senna waiting

Bruno Senna, this season, had to chomp at the bit. After his place as runner-up in the GP2 Series in 2008, behind Giorgio Pantano, the Brazilian almost arrived in F1 at Brawn GP (formerly Honda) before Rubens Barrichello was preferred. “ I speak with many teams, Senna told GPweek, including all new teams, except USF1. »

Ayrton Senna's nephew, who did GP2 tests last week in Jerez, came to help. “ The goal was to help the team (iSport) in certain areas. » Beyond the development work, the Brazilian was happy to relive certain sensations. “ It was a good thing to sit back in the seat of a car. It was perfect with a view to using it as a reference before arriving in F1, rather than going straight from a touring or endurance car. »

Bruno Senna, who notably drove in endurance with Oreca this season, hopes to do some winter tests at the wheel of an F1. “ Currently, I prefer to wait rather than think too much about next season and the pre-season tests. I don't know if I will be able to do tests this winter, because the new teams will not have a car ready. So whether I do these tests or not will depend on who we can make a deal with. »
