F1 / Bahrain: Rosberg wants to be faster in the race

Nico Rosberg seems to enjoy first place since the last winner of the Chinese Grand Prix finished the day of testing in Bahrain credited with the best time with a time of 1:32:816. The German put in a good performance as he finished more than four tenths ahead of the first RB8 of Mark Webber. His teammate Michael Schumacher finished a second behind but the seven-time world champion was hampered by traffic on his flying lap. The W03 thus displays performances that are still just as effective on a flying lap.

Freed from the pressure of victory, Nico Rosberg seems to be looking to repeat his feat as quickly as possible. The pilot Mercedes is already concentrating on the pace of his Flèche d?Argent racing on a very abrasive track. “It’s a good start to the weekend but even if it’s a good thing to be the fastest of the day, that doesn’t count for the rest”, comments the son of the former world champion. “The most important thing at the moment is to improve our race pace. It is reasonable at the moment but we have to analyze our level with the fuel on board compared to our rivals. The race is likely to be very difficult with the degradation of the tires. »
