After a delicate start to the season, Sebastian Vettel finally returns to the forefront by taking pole for the Bahrain Grand Prix with a small tenth ahead of Lewis Hamilton (McLaren), while his teammate Mark Webber took third place on the grid. The German feels he has an opportunity to return to success after his team worked hard to catch up with the Woking team.
“It’s really superb, I offer this pole to the team”, comments the pole sitter. “The start of the season was not easy for us. There was a lot of expectation placed on us. We worked hard on the car focusing on every part. The mechanics haven't slept much since these last races. We had a complicated weekend in China and the nights were again very short here. The pole is therefore a real satisfaction. There car was better throughout the weekend and we showed consistent performances during these last events. »
