F1 / Bahrain: Webber convinced by Lotus

After starting from third place on the grid for the Bahrain Grand Prix, Mark Webber was only overtaken by Kimi Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean. He finished the race just off the podium after completing a solo race. The Australian quickly realized that he was not able to keep up with the pace set by his teammate Sebastian Vettel and by Lotus drivers. The resident of Red Bull Racing admits that he was already aware of the potential of the E20 before this event.

“I didn?t have a bad start but I didn?t have the DRS on the first lap to put pressure on Lewis (Hamilton) », explains Mark Webber. “I couldn't stay in contact with the two Lotuses and Seb and so I protected my position. Lotus has a car efficient and it works well when everything works for them. They did a good job today and that only shows how close the Championship is. We have four different winners in four races. I took good points and Sebastian and I are well placed in the Championship. It wasn't the most exciting race of my career but I'm having a good start to the season. I can't wait to go riding in Europe. »
