F1 Canada EL3 – Lewis Hamilton walks

The weekend of Lewis Hamilton For the moment, it looks like a long, quiet river as the 2008 World Champion seems to dominate his subject in Montreal. Beaten by Rosberg in Monaco, the former driver McLaren put his mark on the last free practice session this Saturday by relegating all his rivals to more than four tenths. It's Felipe Massa, on a Williams reinvigorated and taking advantage of the good provisions of the turbo/hybrid V6 Mercedes which takes second place ahead of the second Mercedes W05 Hybrid of Nico Rosberg who did not find the tenth he was looking for since yesterday to counter his teammate. On the contrary, the gap has widened, and Hamilton remains the only one to have gone below the 1'16 per lap mark on the Gilles Villeneuve track in 1'15"610.

It's a new time Fernando Alonso who leads the charge behind this trio. The pilot Ferrari ahead of the first Red Bull de Daniel Ricciardo for once in front of his teammate Sebastian Vettel, only 10th in this final practice session before qualifying. Kimi Räikkönen takes 6th place ahead of Valterri Bottas and both Toro Rosso of Daniil Kvyat and Jean-Eric Vergne, returned at the best time in the top 10, before this evening's qualifying rounds.

Romain Grosjean places the first Lotus in 13th position. Q3 will be complicated to reach for the two single-seatersenstone. Note the exit of Esteban Gutiérrez, who made a mistake at turn 4 and damaged his Sauber C33 against the wall. Let's hope the damage is not too great for the Mexican.

Qualifying will begin at 19 p.m. French time and will be followed live on our website.
