Ecclestone remains worried about Monza's future

While the Monza circuit has hosted the Italian Grand Prix since 1950, its future in F1 still seems to be in doubt. If a solution seemed to have been found with the help of the Automobile Club of Italy granted by the government, the situation has not yet evolved as the contract with the organizers of the event ends in 2016.

“It’s Italian. There is currently a lot of discussion but little action”, declared Bernie Ecclestone, the director of the FOM, at Reuters agency. “They told me a few months ago that everything was sorted, that we knew exactly where we stood… I understand now that it has become very political. They will either accept it or not. We can't do anything about this. »

The Italian Grand Prix will be contested on September 4.
