F1-EL2: Kvyat leads in Singapore, Mercedes behind

The second practice session for the Singapore GP brought a few surprises as it was Daniil Kvyat (Red Bull) who set the best time of the first day with a lap completed in 1'46"142 with the super soft tires, just ahead of the Ferrari de Kimi Räikkönen and the RB11 of Daniel Ricciardo.

Lewis Hamilton did not place the first Mercedes only in fourth place, 3 tenths of the reference, preceding the SF-15T by Sebastian Vettel. Sergio Pérez (Force India) completes the top five ahead of the W06 Hybrid from Nico Rosberg.

Generally speaking, all the teams powered by the starred Power Unit seem to be further behind their usual level of performance since the Williams and the Lotuses are outside the top ten, notably with Romain Grosjean only 16th.

The final practice session for the Singapore GP will be followed live on Canal+ Sport this Saturday September 19 from noon. Qualifying will follow at 15 p.m. and can be followed on AUTOhebdo.fr.
