F1-EL3: Hamilton dominates before qualifying

After his teammate's return to the forefront Nico Rosberg in free practice 2, Lewis Hamilton resumed its domination in Brazil on the Interlagos route. The pilot Mercedes set the best time in the final session before qualifying in 1'12 "070.

But the World Champion did not have a perfect session, first of all forced to stop on the track for a few seconds after having indicated that he had lost gears, before spinning later in the session at turn 11.

Behind the Briton, Nico Rosberg climbs into second position at 123 thousandths and precedes by half a second the first Ferrari SF15-T Sebastian Vettel, again faster than his teammate Kimi Räikkönen, the latter more than a second behind Hamilton. Valtteri Bottas further progresses in the hierarchy by ranking fifth with its Williams FW37.

The single-seaters equipped with the Mercedes Power Unit monopolize the top 10 with the Force India of Nico Hulkenberg who is ahead Romain Grosjean (Lotus), Sergio Pérez (Force India), Pastor Maldonado (Lotus). Alone Max Verstappen, tenth at the wheel of his Toro Rosso, allows a motor Renault to finish in the top ten.

Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull), who admitted not being completely satisfied with the performance of the new Losange block, while recognizing its reliability, finished in eleventh place ahead of Felipe Massa (Williams) who still appears behind at home.

Fernando Alonso place first McLaren in 14th place, but was able to progress without encountering problems, after yet another engine problem yesterday in free practice 2. Qualifying will take place from 17 p.m. French time.
