F1-EL3: Hamilton remains fastest in Shanghai

Lewis Hamilton retained the advantage in practice for the Chinese GP. The pilot Mercedes achieved a time of 1’37”615, ahead of his teammate Nico Rosberg by two tenths. THE Ferrari remain in ambush with Sebastian Vettel clocking in at seven tenths while his teammate Kimi Räikkönen is the last driver less than a second behind. THE Red Bull seem to want to confirm their status as 3rd strength of the board with Daniel Ricciardo 5th ahead of Daniil Kvyat who again encountered brake problems.

Carlos Sainz Jr is in 7th place on his Toro Rosso before Valtteri Bottas et Max Verstappen, While Romain Grosjean completes the top ten in his Lotus. Felipe Massa follows in 11th place after being disturbed by smoke escaping from his cockpit. THE McLaren are behind with Jenson Button in 15th place. His teammate Fernando Alonso encountered a mechanical problem preventing him from participating in the session.
