F1: Ferrari keeps a low profile

There is no cause for alarm, the first attempts of a car rarely being spared from worries. All the top teams went through their long repairs in the boxes, whether Reb Bull, Mercedes or even Lotus Renault GP.

However, the mechanical alert experienced by Felipe Massa worries the engineers of the Team who had nevertheless placed the emphasis on the reliability of the new F150, preferring to ensure the search for performance in a second step. Nevertheless, Ferrari remains confident and admits that “the incident that occurred to Felipe is in no way a sign of any congenital defect in the car”

“The stopwatch means nothing, and this will continue to be the case during the next test sessions,” says Stefano Domenicali, boss of the Scuderia. “There remains a huge amount of work to be done both on the track and in the factory. We need to keep our feet firmly on the ground and focus on our own work, without being distracted by what others are doing. The first real conclusions will be drawn in Bahrain.”
