F1: FIA validates 2010 calendar

Nineteen meetings are planned for the 2010 calendar of the Formula 1 World Championship. France is not there, Canada is there, like Great Britain, Germany and Belgium. Korea appears and Bahrain opens the season.

F1: FIA validates 2010 calendar

Few surprises appear on the 2010 World Championship calendar. Formula 1, compared to the version unveiled during the Belgian Grand Prix. Only the Korean Grand Prix makes an appearance, the other eighteen dates being confirmed. For the moment, the inclusion of the Canadian Grand Prix on the calendar remains on hold, pending an agreement with the FOM (Formula One Management). The FIA ​​World Council specifies that if an agreement is not reached, the Turkish Grand Prix will be moved to June 6.

The opening and closing Grands Prix of the season change location. After Australia and Abu Dhabi in 2009, Bahrain and Brazil will mark the 2010 season. The Australian Grand Prix, second of the season, will be held during the same weekend as this year and will begin at 17 p.m. The one in Abu Dhabi will also start at this time. The start of the Malaysian Grand Prix has been brought forward to 16 p.m., following reservations expressed at the start of the year regarding a 17 p.m. start, due to lack of visibility. Singapore will host a nighttime Grand Prix for the third consecutive year with a 10am start.
