F1- Pirelli announces the tires that will run at Silverstone

Following the tire bursts in Great Britain, the FIA decided to authorize the teams to run their regular drivers during these tests while Pirelli will, for its part, bring new tires supposed to resolve all the problems observed since the start of the season.

After bringing new compounds at the Nürburgring, which again featured a Kevlar structure, Paul Hembery, director of Pirelli Motorsports, announced at Sky Sports what tires will be tested next week, during the Youth Tests at Silverstone. “We are going to bring five sets of tires with Hard and Medium compounds, three of Hard and two of Medium with 2012 structures, these are the tires that we will use for the rest of the season”. As a reminder: these new tires must come into play at the next Grand Prix, in Hungary.

“In addition, we also have a prototype compound, Dur, that we are going to bring there”, added the British leader. “We have established a timetable, hoping that the teams respect it”.
