The 2021 world champion Max Verstappen will therefore seek to open its score on the Saudi Corniche, despite an unprecedented climate of tension in F1. This is not linked to the reliability of the equipment given to the Dutchman, but to the attack claimed by the Yemeni Houthis around fifteen kilometers from the circuit on Friday.
Nearly five months after its first edition, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is back on the Formula 1 calendar. This Saturday, March 26, the 20 single-seaters will try to set the best possible time on a winding and fast circuit of 6,174 km.
With 27 turns, the Corniche circuit in Jeddah was the scene of a spectacular qualifying session at the end of 2021. Max Verstappen, then in an exceptional lap, hit the wall at the exit of the last turn and left pole position to his rival for the title, Lewis Hamilton.
