F1-Räikkönen: “Podium possible” in Bahrain

The Chinese Grand Prix was action-packed, what did you think?
It was good competition, but the performance of our tires collapsed in the last stint. This is the strategy we opted for. Perhaps we should have opted for a second, longer stint, like we did for Romain.

You fought wheel to wheel during the Grand Prix. What did you feel ?

This is what I was missing rally, and it's great to fight against others F1 like this. It was very close at times, but that's called competition. I can't wait for this to happen again during the season.

What do you think of the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain?

I don't think it will pose any particular problems for us. It is generally warm there, and our car didn't like the low temperatures much when we were in China, so maybe the heat will suit us better. There are good overtaking opportunities.

It’s a circuit on which you have won podiums…

I finished second once and third three times in Bahrain, which is not bad. It's nice to run there. Maybe the developments on the car will work well and we will be able to go faster than in China. We will see.

Do you think the team will be able to get a good result in Bahrain?

A podium should be possible, as has been the case in all Grands Prix so far.
