Felipe Nasr will benefit from a new chassis

In difficulty since the start of the season, Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson have been unable to repeat their performances from the start of the 2015 championship. Within a Sauber team plagued by significant financial problems, the Brazilian and the Swede have been struggling since Melbourne.

In an attempt to return to a more acceptable level of performance and resolve recurring behavioral problems, Nasr will benefit from an all-new chassis in Russia for the fourth 2016 Grand Prix in Sochi.

“Since we put the car on track in Australia, we have had this very strange behavior, and the car is very unpredictable, underlines Nasr. There was no specific problem identified, but there are so many places to look, that we need resources and time to do so.

The cars did not return to the factory, and we did not have a complete overview of all the details. So it's a good step to check the box to see if there is anything wrong with the chassis. Let's see how the weekend goes. »

Since Melbourne in Australia, Sauber has not scored any points, and Marcus Ericsson could only achieve a twelfth place in Bahrain as the best result for Monisha Kaltenborn's men.
