Fernandes delighted with Caterham's progress

The Caterham F1 Team admitted during winter testing that its objective was to get closer to the mid-grid teammates and continue to get ahead of its rivals HRT and Marussia. And according to Tony Fernandes, his team has improved a lot since its debut in Formula 1. “We are more competitive, explains the boss of the team in the Sun. We left Marussia and HRT behind while we decided to enter F1 six months after them. Right now we're half a second behind the middle of the pack. Which isn?t too bad. »

To support his assertions, the Caterham F1 magnate insists that his team is still young and that progress is already being felt. “You have to remember that when we started we were nine seconds behind the best. Last year, there were four of us. Today, on certain laps, we are almost at their pace. This is why I am really happy with the evolution of the team. We must continue to develop our car to further advance in the rankings. »
