Will Fernando Alonso deliver the blow?

Heading into the penultimate Grand Prix of the season, Fernando Alonso is not putting pressure on himself. However, mathematically, he could pocket his third title this weekend.

All the lights are green for Alonso. But this season, more than ever, everything is going very quickly Formula 1. The Spaniard is the perfect example, who many saw excluded from the title race not so long ago. However, the last rounds speak for themselves. The pilot Ferrari is the man in form of the moment, having won three of the last four Grands Prix.

Unlike his opponents who all experienced various misadventures, the native of Oviedo was full of confidence. This weekend, he will also return to a circuit on which he has been crowned champion twice, but on which he has never managed to win.

“Obviously, I have good memories on this circuit because it is there that I won my two world crowns in 2005 and 2006, concedes the 29-year-old driver. Every time I go to Sao Paulo it's a special feeling. I don't want to think about the fact that history might repeat itself a third time: I know it's theoretically possible, but it doesn't matter to me. We want to approach this Grand Prix like the previous ones, concentrate on ourselves, keep our feet on the ground, try to do a good job, without making mistakes. Our goal is to beat my rivals. I have said it before and repeat it now: We will do the accounts in Abu Dhabi.

The Spaniard knows how to manage these crucial moments better than anyone. Three times in his career, he found himself in the fight for the title heading into the final races. The pressure is not on his shoulders.

But whatever the result of his opponents, if Alonso wins his sixth victory of the season on Sunday, then he will have destroyed the hopes of three of them. The only survivor could then be Mark Webber.

Whatever he says, this weekend in Sao Paulo, the bull of Asturias could well deliver the blow?
