Ferrari has had its worst start to a season in 16 years

It must have been a tough wake-up call on Sunday morning for the fans who stayed in Italy, who had to get up at the crack of dawn to watch the Australian Grand Prix. But it was certainly even harder to get out of bed on Monday after the poor performance of Ferrari in Melbourne. With Charles Leclerc 8th and Lewis Hamilton 10th, the Team didn't really get what she came to Australia for.

Especially since Friday went rather well, with Charles Leclerc setting the best time in Free Practice 2 which made the Monegasque say that he thought he would fight for pole position the next dayHowever, in qualifying, it appeared that the SF-25s were not on the pace of the best and the number 16 had to settle for 7th time, just ahead of his teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Ferrari trails, Hamilton 10th: sad records from 2009 equaled

Seeing the two red cars on the fourth row was an anomaly, especially after encouraging pre-season testing in Bahrain and a clear desire to fight for both titles. But the characteristics of the Albert Park circuit did not suit the Ferraris as well as those of the Sakhir track, which was confirmed on Sunday in the rain.

By taking just five points from Melbourne, the Scuderia has had its worst start to a season since 2009. At the time, Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa were both forced to retire in Australia, the first signs of a season in which the Scuderia finished 4th in the Constructors' Championship.

Furthermore, Lewis Hamilton's 10th place is the second-worst result for a driver on his debut with Ferrari in the 2009st century. Again, you have to go back to 17 to find a worse start: that of Luca Badoer, XNUMXth in the European GP where he was replacing the injured Felipe Massa.

Anyway Ferrari will do nothing this year, despite the arrival of Sir Lewis Hamilton, Vasseur and Leclerc too arrogant for my taste, having been for Ferrari since 1998, and our good Schumi.. luckily our friend Carlos Sainz will be released and will be able to beat Leclerc and Vasseur. We must throw these last two out, one is overrated and the other is not a good manager, Jean Todt come back! We must take Verstappen or Norris they were the good drivers of the moment and I would have kept Sainz. Another year where there will be no constructors' and drivers' titles, we are used to it since 2007 for Kimi and 2008 with Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen... We will see a McLaren / Red Bull fight for the constructors' and drivers' titles

That's a very useful statistic!! Let's hope the Scuderia doesn't fall back into the strategic pitfalls of the Binotto era...

There's been a lot of showing off these past few weeks, to get to this point... Before doing anything, it's best to be humble in case it goes wrong. At least we avoid making a fool of ourselves.
